Life as it is Now

Life is good these days. I have another blog that has stories from my past. It didn't seem appropriate to post the day to day events in my life there.

Hmmm... What about me is the most interesting? I am over 50, work a full time job that I love. I have 2 sons and 7 grandchildren. Three of my 5 sisters live in the same area I do - so we see each other a lot. I spend weekends with my nieces - spinning on our spinning wheels or going to guild meetings. I am in a committed relationship that works. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and live in a little neighborhood outside the Phoenix metro area.

two new kittens

The dogs found two more kittens in the back yard this weekend. Well they found 3, but one was already dead.

I need to organize the neighbors to neuter these wild cats.

This set of kittens is a lot younger than the last one and I am feeding them baby milk along with the canned food.

I am hoping that someone else will take the raising of them. Posted by Picasa

Hi Barbara!

I wanted to thank you for the comment you left on my yarn review blog. I've not heard of the dyer you told me about, but you can be sure that I'll be checking out his work! Thank you so much. :)

I used to live in Tempe and Mesa (Hubster is from Scottsdale). I couldn't stand the heat, especially with no pool. I told him one day that I was going home and I hoped he followed. He did (thank goodness), so I'm back where I grew up.

We had the same problem with feral cats giving birth under our bushes. We found two of them alive and one dead. One of the alive ones died a few days later, and we gave the only survivor to my mother. She's doing great and is very friendly. Our Monkey kitty just died a month ago, and she was a feral cat. Even though she was very loving, every once in a while the feral part of her came out and she would attack Hubster (but never me LOL). We miss her horribly, so I gave him an early Xmas gift - a new kitten.

Nice to meet you! E-mail me sometime at pamtheknitter@gmail.com.
